Privacy Policy

How StartAnEntity collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit the Site.

1. Information We Collect

StartAnEntity collects two categories of information:

Information you provide directly

  • Your name and email address when you contact us or subscribe to our newsletter.
  • The content of any message you submit through our contact form.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type, referrer, and the pages you view.
  • Aggregated, anonymized usage data through our analytics provider (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to messages and inquiries you send us.
  • Send newsletter emails if you have subscribed (and only if you have subscribed).
  • Understand how readers use the Site, so we can improve it.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep the Site running properly, plus privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate readership. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or fingerprinting techniques.

Most browsers let you refuse cookies or notify you when a cookie is being set. Refusing essential cookies may cause parts of the Site to function incorrectly.

4. How We Share Information

We only share personal information in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers we use to operate the Site (e.g., email delivery, hosting), under contracts that prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes.
  • Legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or a valid request from a government authority.
  • Business transfers — if StartAnEntity is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccuracies.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing emails (you can also click the unsubscribe link in any email).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@startanentity.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:

  • Contact form messages: up to 24 months after our last reply.
  • Newsletter subscriber data: until you unsubscribe.
  • Server logs: typically 30–90 days.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access — including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security review. No method of transmitting or storing data on the internet is 100% secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Contacting Us

Questions, requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy can be sent to privacy@startanentity.com. We aim to respond within two business days.
